So, Alen, as I know, it’s been 9 years you have involved in online marketing. Can you tell us more about your company background? Okay. 9 years ago, we started selling products on the internet. First, we sell cellphones and afterwards we sell watches. and due to a lot of our customers asking us how to sell their products or services online. That’s how I get started into marketing until today. Right now, we are mainly focusing on F&B, Hotel, and Property Business to help them in product selling and brand exposure through internet. Besides that, we also provide training to help their marketing agency in doing brand management and build their fan base So mainly helping SME or… SME About how many SMEs have you helped? Roughly about… 200 SMEs I have a question Is there any ways we can achieve a commercial effect without spending money on advertisement? Yes, but the content must be very exaggeration and finds out the product’s unique selling point and enlarge it So it must be very special? Yes, it must be very special and also must leverage on online influencers or some popular platforms to build the reputation then only promote it. By doing this you can save a lot of cost in advertising and utilising the fans and audiences to share out the post or comment and review This will also help in boosting your SEO ranking and also your Facebook post’s ranking By saying this, if we spend money in doing advertising can we achieve a better result? Of course so the result will be better if we spend money on ads? Yes Apart from just spend money, is the content also important? Content is actually a very important role When you post your content, especially in Facebook you must look into the statistic of your organic reach For example, what have your audience clicked when they saw your post? Is there anyone hide your post? Is there anyone report as spam? before you start doing advertising This will take about 2 days to observe If the organic reach is high a lot people click “Like”, “Comment”, or “Share”. If the number of clicks is high enough then you can start to boost it. Adding in some budget and set the right settings will doubled the number I have a question in Facebook sometimes people will receive bad comment at their post. What would you suggest them to overcome this problem? Bad review. Highly recommend to greet the person who posted the bad comment and chat with the person privately to find out the problem because sometimes they just want to against you or they might be a fake profile or sometimes it’s your competitor want to create a bad image to your business So if it is not a real feedback then you just hide the comment do not delete the comment will affecting more to your business because for outsider they will thought you really have make the mistake that’s why you deleted the comment But if you hide the comment only the person who comment and their friends can see the comment Other people will not see it If that is a fake profile they will definitely have just a few friends So it’s okay if you just hide the comment But if the comment is really caused by your business’s mistake then you must apologize and correct the mistake. I have a question which is how to increase Facebook page’s likes? For this scenario, I would say the fastest way is through advertisement but if the budget is limited then you must do more SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or insert more keywords into your page so that it can be found easily Besides that your business industry and product is also an important factor because if the industry has too many competitors it will be more difficult in competing for the rank if you have less followers then you rank will be very low But if your product is very unique for example we have did a case study we have a client who is supplying cafe cream charger which is the cream you put on top of the coffee not many people are selling that cream and we insert the keyword into their page and landing page and for only about 2 months or marketing campaign their ranking is still number one until today So the product type is also very important if you are not planning to go long term in advertisement budget then you must choose a right product Next, you must insert the correct keyword then you must boost your SEO Which mean landing page is a very useful tool is it? Yes yes So what is the different between website and landing page? Which one is more effective? Website will have a lot of information for your customers to view. normally website will consist of 4-5 pages. For landing page, the strength is only one on one item, promotion, or service in landing page, your customer will not able to click something else the only thing can click is “Contact Us” “Purchase Product”, or “Send Enquiry”. So if you are only focusing on one product or services and only do one promotion at one time and go for long term then you create landing page for that, create a single page and focus on one goal and just promote it bring more traffic and boost it’s ranking Follow up with question just now you have said that advertisement to increase page Likes and Followers. Which ad setting should be use? Is it post engagement, traffic, or awareness? because I heard that awareness is not a very important setting is that true? There are 3 options in Facebook Ad Manager dashboard the first is awareness awareness focus on showing your post or page to the audience 1 time averagely So basically in our experience customers will only start react after saw your post twice So if your objective is brand exposure then you select awareness because your ROI is not based on sales but is how many people have seen it so you go for awareness. The second is consideration which require enquiry and sales so we would suggest Engagement is the best followed by Traffic if you have website, WhatsApp link, or landing page then you select traffic Number 3 will be leads generation. and number 4 is messenger. Recently the enquiry for messenger is higher than Engagement. While other settings are not that popular, As we know there are many ways to do online marketing, Which platforms do you think is the most effective? For example Facebook or Google Depend on the product If your product require audience to search then using Google will be better If your product want 10-40% out of 100,000 audience are potential customer then Facebook is a better platform For the moment Facebook advertisement’s rule is very strict so we will recommend our clients start to advertise on Google or Instagram But Instagram’s main target is youngsters or Malay they are more active on Instagram So if they want to attract people to visit their Facebook page What should be the content they post They are few methods you can do First is questionnaire, you can conduct a survey with your followers you can throw them a questions for example property agency we will ask people in Penang which area in Penang do you prefer? For example Tanjung Bungan, Butterworth, Bukit Mertajam Bayan Baru, or Green Lane so that you will know which area your followers like the most Next, you look for the property projects based in that area and sell to your followers This method is called questionnaire get to know what your followers want before you sell to them The next method is exaggeration which was mentioned before every product or services have their unique selling points you need to focus on the unique selling point and sell it exaggeratedly The third method is humour For example now You need to find a topic which is relevant with your followers For example like, some political issue which can be also be discussed and merge in your products information then promote it afterwards A relevance topic with your followers will help your post to be seen by more people So that’s how to get people slowly notice your post? Yes yes So would you suggest your client to have Facebook Page only, or they need their own website as well? Is there any difference? Do they need only one or both? Both also need, but need a proper planning because on first stage, if your brand or company is still new or if you just transformed your business from traditional to online, customers from traditional business and online business have a different demographic They way they think and culture is different So if you set up everything at the beginning it will be difficult for you to handle them and most of the time a website’s traffic is come from your marketing campaigns A website cannot produce traffic by itself that’s why we always suggest for example, first year, start a marketing campaign on social media and build your company profile When your enquiry is stable, regular customers is enough then only build your website on the second year so your website will be much worthy because there will be people using your website when you spend your ad budget ya it is more stable Once your website is stable, only you focus on doing SEO so that your ranking will increase faster So how to do SEO correctly? SEO There are several ways First is Google Ads which promote your website in Google ranking the more people clicked on your website link the faster your ranking will increase The second way is you can invite some bloggers to write articles about your product or website and link them to your website and third which is the most important, keyword because SEO have been around for 10 years so the competitors is very high now let’s say you search “personal loan”. the top result will be bank’s website which means the word “personal loan” is too competitive for you so you must do a research from your product or services look for a keyword that has the least competitors and the other company that using the same keyword will not bring too much competition for you then only you do it Let’s get back to landing page’s topic some Facebook post might have a lot of “PM” between the “PM” culture and landing page, which is better? The “PM” will make your post looks better in social media wise because the number or comment is high and people will want to get involve too But landing page has one benefit If someone willing to provide their information to you which mean they are more quality This helps your to do follow up or re-marketing easier But you can;t do that for the “PM” If you messaged them before they will be in your inbox you can do remarketing in Messenger but most of the time they just ask for the sake of asking That’s one problem for “PM” Which means collecting leads is very important for re-marketing right?
